I saw Pan's Labyrinth just the other day and I thought it was glorious. I just can't believe how wondrously those themes of war and peril and death could be woven, through the eyes and heart of a child, through a adventurous tale of imagination. So tragic. So so tragic.
I think that Arcade Fire is going to be the next 'only band that matters'. Where it seems like Radiohead has fix themselves until they are broken, they seem truly capable of pouring the purest of darkness and light from left to right headphone, this song's strings (especially in the middle) remind me of something from Fantasia. So menacing.
